1. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

  • Storage: All contact form submissions are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and stored on Canadian-hosted servers located in Alberta.
  • Retention: Contact form data is retained for 24 months from the date of your last interaction with Eastview Ia. After this period, the data is securely deleted through an automated purge process.
  • Third-party sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share contact form data with any third parties. Your inquiry stays between you and the Eastview team member assigned to respond.

3. Newsletter & Email Subscriptions

The Eastview Intelligence Brief — our bi-monthly dispatch for independent advisors — operates under the following data practices:

  • Information collected: Email address only. We do not require your name, practice details, or any other personal information to subscribe.
  • Purpose: Delivery of the Eastview Intelligence Brief, which covers regulatory shifts (including Client Focused Reforms and Total Cost Reporting updates), practice benchmarking insights, and platform feature releases.
  • Unsubscribe: Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe mechanism — prominently placed, not buried in fine print. Unsubscribe requests are processed immediately.
  • Email platform: Managed through a Canadian-hosted email service provider that complies with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and applicable provincial privacy requirements.
  • Frequency commitment: An average of 2 emails per month. We track this metric and report it on our Insights page — because accountability extends to inboxes.

4. Advisor Platform Data (Existing Clients)

Advisor data processed through Eastview Central — our unified technology platform encompassing CRM, portfolio management, compliance tracking, and practice reporting — is governed by separate platform agreements executed during onboarding and subject to CIRO regulatory requirements.

This website privacy policy covers the public website (eastviewia.com) only and does not extend to the Eastview Central platform environment, which operates under its own data governance framework with materially more stringent controls commensurate with the sensitivity of financial data.

5. Analytics & Performance Measurement

  • Anonymized data collection: We use aggregated, anonymized analytics to measure site performance and content effectiveness. Data points include page load times, navigation paths, and content engagement metrics — none of which are linked to personally identifiable information.
  • No PII in analytics: IP addresses are anonymized before processing. We do not use analytics tools to identify, profile, or track individual visitors.
  • Internal use only: Analytics data is used solely for internal improvement — identifying which resources advisors find most valuable, optimizing page performance, and refining our content strategy. This data is never shared with, sold to, or accessed by external parties.

You retain full authority over your personal information in our possession.

  • Correction: If any information we hold is inaccurate or outdated, you may request its correction.
